Cold beer in the wilderness

After many hours of cleaning (and come to find out, she still needs a lot of work) and powdering, I have dressed her up and brought her to the dining table. A cold beer and a great view of some northern Virginia wilderness. Annie is quite a view, herself. I have enjoyed doll-time today. She needed it. She had been sleeping too long.

Long White Cotton Nightgown

There is something about a plain, old fashion nightgown that is historically beautiful and brings me back to childhood. I would spend the evening at a friend’s house, and his slender young mother in her early 30’s would come out in her long nightgown to watch tv or make us a snack. It is straightforward, and still very sexy. I do not mind tiny, colorful silk teddies and lingerie. They are amazing and reveal almost everything a man can indulge in, covering only the naughty parts. But a long cotton nightgown covers everything, making the mind run wild, thinking about what’s underneath. I love watching western movies, where the rancher would come home from a hard days work, and his lady would be getting ready for bed in her long white nightgown. I used to imagine how sexy it may have been, lifting the bottom of the nightie up to her waist, revealing her slender legs and her... other lady-parts. Now, I can do this with my Annie. When I wake up, she is what I love to see first thing in the morning. Still sleeping, and looking beautiful.

Annie's Closet

A while ago, I bought a cheap brush for Annie's hair at a Walgreens and it broke during the second use. lol. Bought her a nicer, static-free one at Ulta, and expensive as fuck chemical free wig shampoo. Also bought her a white nightgown, kind of like her baby-blue one. Pics of this in my next blog. I have found that darker colors, like black or dark purple, tend to become dusty looking when I put them on after I powder her with cornstarch. Lighter colors like white, pink, lavender, and baby-blue seem to work a lot better. I organized her closet today. I have bought her many clothes, and many women have donated their own clothes to her. Right now she has:
4 wigs
1 black veil
1 white cowboy hat
8 pair of Sunglasses
2 pairs of gloves
1 Leather jacket
3 different store-bought fragrances
4 bras
2 panties
4 blouses
2 tank-tops
2 skirts
4 nightgowns
6 shorts
3 leggings/capris
16 pairs of socks/stockings :)
5 pairs of shoes
My spoiled Annie.

The Farm Girl

One of my favorite movies is City Slickers, especially the character, Curly, played by Jack Palance. The inspiration for this photo is from the story he spoke about, about the beautiful redhead he saw working in the field as he was passing by. The quote goes:
“I was driving a herd across the panhandle. Texas. Passed near this little dirt farm right about sundown. Out in the field was this young woman, working down in the dirt. Just about then she stood up to stretch her back. She was wearing a little cotton dress, and the settin’ sun was right behind her, showing the shape that God had give her.”
I pictured a young adult woman, maybe 18 or 19, raised on a farm, wearing no makeup and still wearing dresses and pigtails. Someone asked about my beautiful Annie's eyes, and why I post so many photos covering them. I am not sure why I do this, but in this pic her eyes are very expressive. No makeup, no fancy eyelashes. Just an adorable and very simple redheaded farm girl that any cowboy would love to hold in his arms at night.

An old wig and an old magazine

Annie has been hanging out with me in the den for the past couple days. She was in bed for a long while and got plenty of rest, but now she is very happy to be up and about. I am happy about this as well. 8) Lately, she has been wearing a bobbed redhead wig that I bought for a girlfriend many years ago for a Halloween costume. I found it while unpacking some boxes that have been in storage for years. I washed it really good and decided to give it to her. I think she likes it. Yesterday I came home and caught her on the sofa reading a mag I picked up quite a few years ago in Sasebo, Japan. She is reading the same article where I first read about life-like dolls. At that time, I never thought I would end up owning one. Now, I am very happy and proud to say that I own one. She is amazing. She is my baby. 8)
